Hmm... It might be the TV, but it might not. Probably the PS2 is sending two signals via the SCART cable - Composite Video and RGB. Your TV detected the RGB signal and used it instead of composite, because it's much better quality. However, the PS2, unless fixed with the modchip's RGB fix, will only use the green channel of the RGB signal on DVD playback for an unknown reason (it sure smells fishy). Maybe your other TV is using the composite signal? some TVs have some SCART configuration, in the TV where it looks green, try to set it so it uses a composite signal if you see such an option.
Gaming should be fine via RGB in both TVs though. (That's why I think it's not a problem of your TV.)

I found out it is actually stranger.
When I use an original out-of-region DVD movie it works fine on my TV.
The problem I was having was with copied region-free DVD movies from Thailand.
I will try it with an original local-region DVD this weekend. But I have the feeling that this will work.
However why this happens is a mystery to me.
If anything I would have expected it to happen the other way.
Oh and Melfice... thanks for your tip

How would I make a girl's hair move around, like in the wind, in a pic? (not an av )

IRT SC: Indeed, it's strange. I haven't experienced with DVD-R or out-of-region movies, so I don't know how will the Messiah 2 handle it. But the PS2 has something really funny going on with DVDs... Oh and BTW, I tried a few things and verified it's not that it's generating a green-only signal; red and blue components are there as well, but it's as if they were multiplied by 0.25. Weird.
IRT Xellos: I guess that'd be a question for Melfice or Ryudo... they'll surely be better than me at this.

I have another question (sorry...)
If I buy this: http://store.yahoo.com/joyluckshop/51memfortoss2.html
Would it upgrade my current 512 MB laptop into 1024 MB?
-
it depends if the memory of your laptop can be upgraded or not, if you can upgrade it, then, congrats, you'll posses a Gigabyte of Ram.
Acording to the hair like the wind motion... it is pretty hard. I mean, i don't know any techniqe that allows me to simulate the animation of hair, either in 2D or in 3D.
I don't have any idea of how to do an effect like that right now...
-
Thanks, but how do I know if it's upgradeable or not
Ok, thanks, dont' worry, I was just messsing in Photoshopa nd image ready and wanted to learn some good effects to do.

Look at the type of the laptop you have and look it up in your manual or the website of the manufacturer.
Or give us the type of the laptop so we might have an idea.
